From inspirational start to memorable end continuing education for certified teachers

In this workshop, the focus is to be able to teach and practice, from your authentic self expressed through asana, poetry, language and music. We will discuss how to create introductions and conclusions to your yoga classes that are unique to you and offer a distinctive and memorable experience for your students.

No Rules! We will cover intelligent sequencing, pace, language and tone of voice and the powerful elements that create the texture and flow of a vinyasa class:

  • Rasa (embodied state/essence)

  • Gunas (energetic qualities)

LBD: a practice in chaturanga

Women's Empowerment Workshop

A chaturanga is the Little Black Dress of yoga. You just slip into it like your favorite LBD.

It is straight and narrow

It is simple and precise like a perfect martini

It is compact as a Kate Spade bag

In this workshop we’ll take all the stress out of this pose. It's all about line and design and knowing where you are going.

You have a good head on your shoulders but you shouldn’t have to carry the weight of the world on them! In this workshop we will learn how to care for our shoulders through regenerative therapies with Yoga Tune-Up balls and through key stretches. Healthy and functioning shoulders give us the sense of strength in our lives. Oh, there’s a little matter of core here. We’ll work on this too. Every chaturanga has a secret weapon. This is where it gets interesting. Do I smell something burning? I think its my aaaaaabs!

You are so smooth and capable, people will wonder how you do it. Don’t tell them! A woman should always have mystique.

Cultivating Strength:

The Way of the Spiritual Warrior

What makes us strong? What makes us weak?

Through an in depth application of asana, therapeutics and conditioning work, we will explore where strength lives in us and how to develop it to its fullest potential.

This exciting workshop will provide a dynamic approach to yoga designed as a conditioning system for the lifetime yogi. (Make sure to bring a towel and water. This is full strength Diamondfit!)

Rolling techniques develop spinal fluidity and mindful energetic flow from one muscle group to the next, like a tiger moving through the grass. Transitions and sequences are offered to provide an interesting way to think and play your poses.

Key foundational focuses, such as efficient warm ups for wrists, ankles and shoulders create game changing results.

Myofascial release techniques, through the use of Yoga Tune-Up therapy balls, provide immediate relief to stuck areas of the body.

The workshop completes with meditation in restorative asana. Leave feeling strong from the inside out and go tackle your dreams!

Truth and Beauty

A Stretching and Relaxation Practice

Sometimes we can feel like we are a bunch of sharp corners and rough edges.

Soften. Awaken inner joy. Feel good in your body.

True yoga - the union of mind, body and breath - will liberate.

True yoga - the union of mind, body and breath - will liberate.

Explore what it is to go deeper in practice, to experience the subtle body inside muscles and bones. Linger in the sensations of restorative asana and breath work. Move beyond pushing and efforting to a new plane of acceptance and freedom. Come home to the embodied wisdom that hatha yoga practice nurtures.

Circular movements, resting in the curves, stretching in the curves and the long muscles which have grown short and tight, characterize this practice. Sway a bit, rock gently in the poses and find your sweet spot where the breath softens and the mind rests.
Feel your body take a sigh.

Emerge with spaciousness and connection to the truth and beauty that is uniquely you.

You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves” - Mary Oliver

Earth Rise Flow

Roll crawl spiral gather and expand.

Move smooth like a jungle cat and playful like one at home.

Earthrise Flow offers strengthening from the ground up with core-focused flows.

Breathe with it, feel the earth rise up beneath you.

Explore mobility and flexibility through motion in floor flows that transform rigidity, holding patterns and stagnation.

Spontaneous, creative and nourishing, the practice is unique and fun to do.

Earthy tribal rhythms and deep bass drive the pranic pulse.
Myofascial release work with therapy balls and Corgeous balls will open and renew the body.

Merge with earth and sky in a deep savasana meditation. Leave feeling grounded and free.
