Renee embodies true grit and dedication. A nationally respected fitness and yoga instructor, she started on her yoga path 25 years ago under the tutelage of legendary yoga master, Tao Porchon Lynch. She is a lifelong student of movement and the body, with over four decades of teaching experience.

 

Her influences are modern dance, fitness and aerobics, bodybuilding, martial arts. Her evolution toward true health and balance encompasses healing arts and therapeutics, meditation, and pranayama practice. She is a senior teacher and award-winning instructor for the global luxury brand Equinox Fitness Clubs.

 

Renee’s motto is “Seek grace under pressure”. She strives to rise above opinions, grievances and discontent in the world, believing in the words of Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see.”Consistency and accountability is Renee’s mark,  establishing her as an esteemed leader in her business. She is dynamic and fun loving. Students love her stories, music, humor, and the relatable way she offers the ancient teachings of yoga as practical tools for modern life.

Currently based in the NYC area, Renee spent a good portion of her adult life in Santa Monica, California, immersed in health and fitness and reveling in the outdoor life. This lifestyle has inspired her to lead yoga and hiking retreats, teacher trainings, and workshops in magnificent locations throughout the world - Utah; Colorado; New York's Catskill Mountains; Costa Rica; Ibiza, Spain; and Provence, France. She believes that spending time in nature, unplugged, is powerful medicine and rejuvenates the soul.
