Dig Deep into yoga philosophy and history and learn how ancient practices serve our modern lives. Gain a deeper understanding of the asanas, learn the physical anatomy of the body, muscles, bones and connective tissue, and the spiritual anatomy in a study of the chakras and the mind/body connection. Learn, breathing practices and meditation. What is it to be a yogi? Embark upon a study of morals and ethical conduct, right speech, and right action . We will explore how to navigate a world in turmoil, a planet in distress and do the right thing personally and globally.
This course is based in The Eight Limbs of Yoga as established in Patanjali's Yoga sutra. The eight fold path offers guidelines for a meaningful and purposeful life.
This course will also offer experiences beyond the classical and relevant to how we live and enjoy our lives today. There will be music to explore, movement of all types, sweaty practices and deep soulful ones, "Aha" moments, acceptance, joy and new discoveries in your "one wild and precious life". Second Semester/Teacher Certification:
Tuesday September 15th to Saturday November 7th 2020
Continues the education on a track for those who want to become certified teachers. Includes methodology and presentation skills. and further anatomy studies.
First semester Foundations $800
Full course certification/ Semester 1 and 2 $1400
Includes all materials, manuals and recordings of sessions.
