Truth and Beauty

a stretching and relaxation practice

Sometimes we can feel like we are a bunch of sharp corners and rough edges.

Soften. Awaken inner joy. Feel good in your body.

True yoga - the union of mind, body and breath - will liberate.

Explore what it is to go deeper in practice, to experience the subtle body inside muscles and bones. Linger in the sensations of restorative asana and breath work. Move beyond pushing and efforting to a new plane of acceptance and freedom. Come home to the embodied wisdom that hatha yoga practice nurtures.

Circular movements, resting in the curves, stretching in the curves and the long muscles which have grown short and tight, characterize this practice. Sway a bit, rock gently in the poses and find your sweet spot where the breath softens and the mind rests.
Feel your body take a sigh.

Emerge with spaciousness and connection to the truth and beauty that is uniquely you.

“You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.

You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves” - Mary Oliver
